Digital Marketing Coordinator

This full-time position is part writer/part techie. If you’re a super-organized, plugged-in communicator, then this job may be for you. The Digital Marketing Coordinator at Flagship Publishing coordinates communications across digital channels to reach goals relating to awareness, engagement and revenue. This position has his or her hands in just about everything at our company, including 25 years of editorial content, hundreds of thousands of readers/fans and oodles of advertising customers.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop websites for Flagship Publishing brands
  • Copywrite and edit content for web, social and email
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendors
  • Generate engagement through social channels
  • Leverage existing inventory of content and assist in generating new content
  • Plan and execute all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email and display advertising campaigns
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Plan, execute and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate



  • Proven working experience in digital marketing
  • Wireframing and website design
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas)
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and open source platforms (e.g., WordPress).
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Experience with e-commerce site management
  • Knowledge of social media platform best practices
  • Copywriting and editing for social, web and email

$40-$50K yearly salary, plus periodic bonuses for revenues above goals, plus annual cost of living increases, plus annual wage increases based on increased responsibility and company growth.
